Once there, your guide will assist you in boarding a sightseeing bus to explore the captivating landscape of Jiuzhaigou. Originally a secluded sanctuary comprising nine Tibetan villages, Jiuzhaigou remained undiscovered by outsiders until the mid-20th century. Renowned for its diverse and exceptional natural beauty, the park's waterfalls and highland lakes are celebrated as some of the most stunning aquatic scenes worldwide. Official records indicate the presence of 114 turquoise pools and lakes, 47 tranquil springs, 17 clusters of waterfalls, 11 rapids, and 5 beautiful tufa shoals spread across the park's three main valleys: Rize Valley, Zechawa Valley, and Shuzheng Valley. These areas showcase a variety of color patterns including white, blue, green, turquoise, and emerald that change with the seasons. The visual magnificence of Jiuzhaigou extends beyond its water features to include dramatic jagged alpine peaks, vibrant forests with a myriad of hues, and numerous other remarkable natural attractions. Exploring Jiuzhaigou Valley is a serene and delightful experience. Sightseeing buses transport visitors through the park, making stops near scenic spots. Visitors disembark, walk along wooden pathways to admire the sights, and then re-board the bus to move to the next point of interest. Your guide will tailor your itinerary based on your preferences, energy levels, and crowd conditions, ensuring you savor the essence of Jiuzhaigou at a leisurely pace. A typical route includes taking a tourist bus to Nuorilang Waterfall first, then transferring to Zechawa Valley to see the Long Lake and Five-Color Pond, continuing to Rize Valley to visit the Panda Lake, Five Flowers Lake, Pearl Shoal, Mirror Lake, and more. Finally, return to Nuorilang, descend through Shuzheng Valley to the park entrance, and explore Rhinoceros Lake, Tiger Lakes, Shuzheng Waterfall, Sparkling Lake, and other attractions along the way. After completing your Jiuzhaigou tour, your guide and driver will escort you back to your hotel.

Helpful tips:
1) Aim to have breakfast and enter the park early to avoid the crowds of tourist groups.

2) Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress according to the season.

DAY 3 Jiuzhaigou/Huanglong/Exit
Transfer via: High speed train
Activities for today: Huanglong National Park (park bus + one way cable car), train station transfer
Tour Guide & Driver Service:
After breakfast, you will take a approximately 2-hour drive to Huanglong National Park.

Situated in the Minshan Mountains in northwestern Sichuan Province, Huanglong National Park (Huanglong Valley) is home to one of the world's three most impressive travertine lake terraces, spanning 3.6 kilometers and nestled beneath the grandeur of Xuebaoding Peak (Snow Treasure Mountain: 5,588 meters), resembling a yellow dragon. This distinctive landscape gave the valley its name, Huanglong (Yellow Dragon). The travertine formations were sculpted over millennia through geological processes like glacial activity, tectonic movements, chemical reactions, and climate fluctuations. At the valley's peak (3,556 meters), the standout feature is the Five-Color Ponds, showcasing 693 ponds of various sizes, shapes, and colors, glistening like precious emeralds. Huanglong is also renowned for its breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, waterfalls, pristine forests, and serves as a vital habitat for Giant Pandas and Golden Snub-nosed monkeys. These natural marvels led to Huanglong's designation as a World Natural Heritage Site in 1992. Typically, it takes about 6 hours to hike from the entrance to the Five-Color Ponds and back. To make the most of your time and energy, you will take a swift cable car to the summit and then descend on foot to appreciate the valley's scenery.

After approximately 3 hours of exploring the park, you will depart from Huanglong and embark on a 40-minute drive to Huanglongjiuzhai Railway Station for your journey back to Chengdu or onward to your next destination.
